The City of Moundsville is accepting applications for an employee in the Building Inspection Department. The ideal candidate will possess applicable certifications or is willing to obtain certifications.

The candidate will be responsible for taking resident code complaints, making inspections, meeting with residents, issuing citations and warnings, handling zoning matters, and other various related duties. The office is located at Moundsville City Building, but the job requires travel throughout the City of Moundsville to inspect and review various complaints and properties. Limited overnight travel for training is also expected.  The candidate must have a valid West Virginia driver's license and a good driving record. The candidate must be willing to consent to and pass a background check and drug screening.  Position includes a lucrative benefit package including paid health, dental, and vision insurance; life insurance; paid vacation; sick time; and a matching retirement saving plan, among other benefits.
