80.5% of Tyler County residents old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 8,397 citizens living in Tyler County in 2021, 80.5% were old enough to vote, equating to 6,763 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 3,372 were male, constituting 49.9%, and 3,391 were female, making up 50.1%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Tyler County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 79.7%.
