Census Bureau: 82.3% of people in Brooke County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 22,603 citizens living in Brooke County in 2021, 82.3% were old enough to vote, equating to 18,595 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 9,187 were male, constituting 49.4%, and 9,408 were female, making up 50.6%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Brooke County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 79.7%.
