At the November 1 Council Meeting, Assistant Fire Chief Kevin Kimple presented Water Department employee Paul Hewitt with a recognition award. When the Fire Department responded to a grass fire near the water plant recently, Mr. Hewitt was at the scene with a shovel beating down the fire. Assistant Chief Kimple said this act kept the fire from spreading until they could get water on it. Thank you Mr. Hewitt! Pictured is Kimple, Hewitt, and Mayor Judy Hunt.
