Bethany College is pleased to welcome Scott Brooks ’78 and Todd Adams to its Board of Trustees, both of whom are current CEOs of their respective companies.
Brooks is currently a real estate attorney in Calif., and has over three decades of experience in realty and banking. Brooks has worked for Arnold Pacific Properties, where he helped develop, lease, and manage over ten million square feet of retail space. He has also worked for Downey Saving and Loan Association and created Burrow Closing Management Corportation and Burrow Closing Management Corporation. Brooks is well-known for being the creator of one of the first internet-based title and closing software systems.
Adams is currently the president and CEO at Pension Fund of the Christian Church and has been for six years. A certified governance trainer with a demonstrated history of working in religious non-profits and youth sports organizations, Adams says he has a passion for helping people lead and non-profits fulfill their mission through good governance. Prior to his current role, Adams was a local church pastor, growing congregations in Houston, Texas, and Huntington, W.Va.
“It is an honor to welcome two CEOs to the Bethany College Board of Trustees,” says Ken Bado, chairman of Bethany’s Board of Trustees. “Their leadership and experience will serve the college well as we continue to implement the BUILD Strategic Plan and secure Bethany’s role in educating current and future generations of young adults. Todd will help strengthen our unique bond with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), and, as a Bethany graduate with a successful career in the private sector, Scott brings 40+ years of business accomplishment to his new role. In addition, they will advise me, the Executive Committee, and Dr. Caridi on how best to fully leverage and optimize the Board of Trustees and its governance structure for the maximum benefit of the college and its students.”
“I am extremely grateful to Scott and Todd in accepting the invitation to join our distinguished Board of Trustees. Their stellar reputations and astute leadership abilities will serve our governing board and management team exceptionally well as we accelerate the growth of Bethany College,” says Bethany’s President Dr. Jamie Caridi.
