Football: Dominate First Half Leads to Presidents' Victory over Bison

The Bethany College football team opened up Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) play against Washington & Jefferson College, Saturday evening. The Presidents' cruised to a 50-7 win over the Bison.

THE HIGHLIGHTS

  • The Presidents scored 33 points before the Bison were able to get in the end zone.
  • Bethany's De'Vaughn McWhorter caught a 16-yard touchdown pass from Marquise Robinson with 6:34 to go in the first half.
BY THE NUMBERS

  • (126) – The Bison were held to 126 total yards.
  • (7) – Senior quarterback Robinson was sacked seven times tonight.
  • (2) – The Bison had two sacks tonight coming from Tsi Fofang and Nathan Rouse. The Bison also recovered two fumbles. Rondell Lewis and Shawn Wheeler scooped up the loose ball.
  • (10) – Dexter Smith led the Bison with 10 tackles (8 solo). He forced one fumble.
WHAT'S NEXT?

Bethany will return to Don Ault Field at Bison Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 1 for a PAC matchup and their Homecoming game against the Thiel College Tomcats beginning at 4:30 pm.
