Many have expressed concern over the potential contamination of the water system due to the train wreck and fire in East Palestine, OH. Moundsville Water Superintendent Terry Roberts released the following statement. “We are a groundwater system with wells and get our water from an aquifer, therefore it would not pertain to us. The spill was in the river and floats on the surface…” At this time there is no danger to the water from the Moundsville Water System.
