June 14, 2023, is National Flag Day and June 11, 2023 – June 17, 2023, is National Flag Week – both are recognized to celebrate and show respect for our flag, its designers, and its makers.

Our flag represents our independence and our unity as one nation, under God, indivisible. As Americans, we have every right to be proud of our flag and its glorious history.

Harold E. Miller, Mayor of the City of Weirton does hereby proclaim June 14, 2023, as Flag Day in our community, and the week starting June 11, 2023, as National Flag Week. The people of the City of Weirton are encouraged to observe both with pride and to celebrate our heritage by displaying the flag of the United States of America. As we raise our flag, Iet us always resolve to cherish it with reverence and eternal gratitude.
